It was Federal Workforce Day on Wednesday night at Nationals Park as Washington hosted the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The lineup card presentation included Flora “Mackie” Jordan, Marine Corps Systems Command.

The ceremonial first pitch was presented by Frank McCraw, Jr., United States Customs & Border Protection Agency. The color guard was provided by the Civil Air Patrol National Capital Wing Honor Guard of Arlington.

Christina Hines, United States Environmental Protection Agency, provided a spirited cry of “play ball” from the Nationals first-base dugout before Stephen Strasburg of the Nationals threw the first pitch on an 89-degree night. D.C. Council member Vincent C. Gray was also recognized before the game.

Washington beat the Pirates in the first two games of the series, which ends Thursday afternoon.
