So President Donald Trump referred to MS-13 murderous gang members as “animals” — and the left went nuts.

Really? This is where the left is on the political spectrum?

This is the case the left wants to make?

Trump, to his great credit, laughed off the criticism and doubled down on his original comments.

“When the MS-13 comes in, when the other gang members come into our country, I refer to them as animals and guess what — I always will,” Trump told reporters at the White House, when asked why, why — gasp, why! — he would call MS-13 murderous gangbangers such a term, Breitbart reported.

Once again, the media’s been outed for an undue attack on the president.

Originally, Trump, while referencing MS-13 during a roundtable discussion about California’s sanctuary laws, called them “animals” — but dishonest members of the media reported he used the word while describing “some immigrants” to this country. And that, predictably enough, opened a can of worms about Trump’s supposed hatred for “some immigrants.”

It wasn’t long before the context of Trump’s comments was made clear.

As White House spokesperson Sarah Huckabee Sanders told the press: If you guys “want to defend MS-13,” go right ahead — you’re “more than welcome to.”

Right.

“It took an animal to stab a man a hundred times and decapitate him and rip his heart out,” she went on, describing some of the activities of MS-13. “It took an animal to beat a woman they were sex trafficking, with a bat, 28 times, indenting part of her body. … Frankly, I think that the term ’animal’ doesn’t go far enough.”

Apparently, though, members of the media were so intent upon seizing the next anti-Trump message they didn’t stop to think how it looks to align themselves with such ugliness and evil.

They were so hungry to ’diss Trump, they practically jumped into bed with MS-13.
