ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - Georgia coach Tom Crean has completed his staff, hiring Amir Abdur-Rahim as his third assistant.
Abdur-Rahim spent the last four seasons at Texas A&M and has worked at the College of Charleston, Georgia Tech and Murray State.
Abdur-Rahim, who grew up in Marietta, Georgia, and is the brother of former NBA standout Shareef Abdur-Rahim, joins Chad Dollar and Joe Scott on Crean’s staff.
“His ability to recruit is shown in his energy, dogged determination and relationship building,” Crean said in a statement. “His knowledge of SEC and ability to work with our big men will provide immediate help.”
