CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire officials say the state’s unemployment rate for April was 2.6 percent, unchanged from the March rate.
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for April 2017 was 2.7 percent.
The state estimates that 731,080 people were employed last month, an increase of 1,650 from the previous month and an increase of 5,000 from April 2017. The number of unemployed residents increased by 380 over the month to 19,640, which was 600 fewer people than in April 2017.
Nationally, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for April was 3.9 percent, a decrease of two-tenths of a percentage point from March. It was a decrease of 0.4 percentage points from the February 2017 rate.
