There’s a new favorite to win the Stanley Cup, according to oddsmakers: the Washington Capitals.
Bovada, an online sports book, lists the Capitals as 8/5 favorites to win the Stanley Cup. The Capitals are in the midst of their deepest playoff run in 20 years and have a commanding 2-0 series lead in the Eastern Conference finals over the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Here are the odds for the four remaining teams:
Capitals: 8/5
Vegas Golden Knights: 12/5
Winnipeg Jets: 13/5
Tampa Bay Lightning: 13/2
The Capitals can take a 3-0 lead Tuesday with a win in Game 3.
