Winners of the 2017 Associated Press Great Plains News and Photo Contest are being announced.

A list of winners can be found at http://discover.ap.org/contests/great-plains. This year’s awards will be shipped to members beginning May 28.

The Associated Press is a not-for-profit news cooperative representing 1,400 newspapers and 5,000 broadcast stations in the United States.

This year’s competition which covers Nebraska and the Dakotas, saw 11 newspapers submitting 355 entries to the contest that recognizes exemplary work during 2017.
