DeAngelo Hall, who spent 10 seasons of his 15-year NFL career with the Washington Redskins as a cornerback and safety, said Monday he is retiring from football.
Hall told two reporters at Redskins linebacker Ryan Kerrigan’s charity golf tournament that he was “done” playing football:
Redskins defensive back DeAngelo Hall said “I’m done” playing football. Hall, 34, was expected to retire but had not made it official. He’s weighing offers to join a front office or work in TV.https://t.co/ECsOiO6din

Hall, 34, is mulling a second career in front-office work or in front of a television camera. He has appeared on NFL Network as a guest analyst before.
Hall played for Washington from 2008 to 2017 and became a free agent at the start of the 2018 league year. He only played in 22 games the past four seasons due to a string of injuries.
Before that, he was the Redskins’ No. 1 cornerback who didn’t miss a start from 2010 to 2014.
Hall was drafted eighth overall in the 2004 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons. He only played for Atlanta for four seasons and the Oakland Raiders for eight games in 2008. Oakland released Hall in November of that year and he signed with Washington three days later.
Hall finishes his career with 43 interceptions, 11 forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries and 10 defensive touchdowns.
