MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Minneapolis is paying $193,500 to settle a lawsuit filed by a TV anchor whose personal information was repeatedly looked up by police officers.
The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that Alix Kendall’s case is among many involving officers who clicked on the state’s Driver and Vehicle Services database to look at photographs, addresses and driving records of dozens of Minnesota residents, including many local celebrities.
The Fox 9 morning show co-host sued. The City Council signed off Friday on paying her $150,000 plus $43,500 in attorney’s fees.
