Conservative author and podcaster Ben Shapiro is primed for the launch of “Sunday Exclusive” content with clinical psychologist Jordan B. Peterson.
Roughly 15 million people download podcasts hosted by the editor in chief of The Daily Wire. Those still clamoring for more content will soon have hour-long interviews between Mr. Shapiro and thought leaders beginning May 6.
The inaugural guest will be Mr. Peterson, the University of Toronto professor who shot to stardom in 2016 with his public opposition to Canada’s “C-16 bill” — and the handling of critics who threatened his career.
Left-wing political activists call the psychologist — now the bestselling author of “12 Rules for Life” — transphobic because he opposes state-mandated language surrounding transgender issues.
“We’re living in an amazing moment for renewal of thought and fulfillment of curiosity, and I can’t think of a better way to find answers than to sit down with America’s smartest people on all sides of the aisle and ask questions,” Mr. Shapiro said Tuesday on his website.
Westwood One Podcast Network, Mr. Shapiro’s exclusive sales partner, said the first six episodes have already sold out.

“Audience and advertiser demand for Ben Shapiro content is rapidly unfolding at a pace only experienced by the biggest personalities in our network,” said Westwood One Executive Vice President of Marketing Suzanne Grimes. “Brands are lining up to support Ben’s shows before they even air, and in less than a month, Cumulus Media brought Ben’s radio show to 58% of the U.S. population.”
Mr. Shapiro and Mr. Peterson last sat down for an extended discussion during the January broadcast of “The Rubin Report” with YouTube star Dave Rubin. The broadcast has tallied over 2.4 million views.
