HAMPTON, Va. (AP) - A Virginia woman is suing the hospital she says fired her for reporting persistent sexual harassment.

The Virginian-Pilot reports Suzanne Grimes filed a wrongful termination lawsuit this week against Sentara Healthcare, seeking unspecified damages and changes to the way the hospital system handles employees.

The lawsuit says Grimes was subject to sexual harassment while working with the co-worker from August 2016 until she was fired last March. She said the co-worker talked openly of his sex life, showed her explicit photos and turned hostile when she rebuffed his sexual advances and flashed her, which is when she reported him.

The lawsuit says a human resources official accused her of lying and didn’t properly investigate.

Sentara spokeswoman Liz Vandendriessche said co-worker no longer works there.
