CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (AP) - Casa Grande police have arrested a 16-year-old boy for allegedly making school shooting threats on social media.
Authorities say the teen, who is not being identified, was booked Thursday into a Pinal County juvenile facility.
According to investigators, a post was made on the Snapchat app on Feb. 28 at Casa Grande Union High School.
Another student reported the post to Snapchat, which forwarded the information to the FBI.
The agency notified local police.
Detectives say evidence links the post to the suspect.
Police say there are no threats currently with Casa Grande area schools, students or staff.
The boy could face prosecution for threats and intimidation. The Pinal County Attorney’s Office is reviewing the case.
