Amazon is now offering discounted Prime memberships for Medicaid recipients, the company announced Wednesday.

The online retail giant said Medicaid recipients are eligible for Prime memberships for just $5.99 a month, down from the normal rate of $12.99 a month.

Prime includes free, two-day shipping as well as a host of other benefits like ad-free music streaming and unlimited photo storage.

To qualify for the discount, customers must have a valid EBT or Medicaid card and can renew their discounted membership every year for up to four years.

“We hope to make Prime even more accessible,” Amazon Prime Vice President Cem Sibay said in a statement. “With more than 100 million products to choose from, low prices, time savings, and fast and convenient delivery options, the combination of shipping, shopping and entertainment provide tremendous value to customers.”

In June of last year, Amazon started offering discounted Prime memberships to recipients of other government benefits like Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and Women, Infants, and Children Nutrition Program (WIC).
