DOVER, Del. (AP) - State officials say there was no change in January in Delaware’s unemployment rate, which remains above the national average.

A report released Tuesday shows the state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate at 4.5 percent for January unchanged from December.

The U. S. unemployment rate also held steady in January at 4.1 percent.

Officials say Delaware’s seasonally adjusted nonfarm employment in January totaled 457,600 workers, up from 455,500 in December.

Government employment grew from 66,400 in December to 66,600 in January.
