American forward Tim Weah, a son of the former soccer star and president of Liberia, made his debut for Paris Saint-Germain less than two weeks after his 18th birthday.

George Weah was FIFA Player of the Year in 1995 and was elected Liberia’s president in January.

Tim Weah entered Saturday’s 2-0 French league win at Troyes in the 79th minute. He became the first American to play for PSG and made his debut nearly 13 years after his father’s last game for the club in May 2005.

Weah had a hat trick for the U.S. against Paraguay last October in the second round of the Under-17 World Cup. He turned 18 on Feb. 22.
