Bill would require sexual harassment training at businesses

DOVER, Del. (AP) - Some Delaware businesses would have to provide sexual harassment training under a bill state lawmakers are considering.

The News Journal reports the measure introduced Thursday would require companies that have at least 50 workers to provide supervisors with two hours of training once every two years.

The bill would also make sexual harassment an unlawful business practice under state law and would make employers - even at smaller businesses - responsible for taking corrective action when incidents occur.

A spokesman for the Delaware State Chamber of Chamber says the group is working with the bill’s lead sponsor to research the implications of such a law.
