NORTH BEND, Wash. (AP) - Authorities say a 16-year-old boy died after falling from Rattlesnake Ledge in western Washington state.

Eastside Fire & Rescue tells The Seattle Times that the teenager was hiking with three others Saturday morning when he slipped from a rocky ledge while taking a picture.

Eastside Fire Captain Steve Westlake says the drop from the top of the popular area is about 100 to 200 feet.

The boy’s name hasn’t been released.
