CENTRAL

AUSTIN: Water stained; 59-65 degrees; 0.79 feet low. Black bass are fair on chrome Rat-L-Traps, Texas rigs, shallow running crankbaits and jigs. Sunfish are fair on cut nightcrawlers. Catfish are good on live bait and nightcrawlers.

BASTROP: Water stained; 72-76 degrees. Black bass are good on chartreuse crankbaits and soft plastics. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

BELTON: Water stained; 70-74 degrees; 2.42 feet low. Black bass are good on topwaters and spinnerbaits in coves. Hybrid striper are good on live shad early. White bass are good on light blue jigs. Crappie are good on minnows in 30 feet. Channel and blue catfish are good on bloodbait, stinkbait, and minnows. Yellow catfish are good on trotlines and throwlines baited with perch.

BROWNWOOD: Water stained; 69-73 degrees; 3.82 feet low. Black bass are fair on perch colored spinnerbaits, jigs, crankbaits, and Rat-L-Traps. Hybrid striper are fair on silver striper jigs. White bass are fair on Li’l Fishies and shad crankbaits. Crappie are fair on Li’l Fishies and tube jigs over brush piles. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

BUCHANAN: Water stained; 68-74 degrees; 4.03 feet low. Black bass are good on Texas rigs, Rat-L-Traps and chatterbaits. Striped bass are fair jigging and trolling striper jigs and drifting live bait. White bass are fair on Pirk Minnows and Shad Raps. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs in the shallows. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are slow.

CANYON LAKE: Water stained; 72-76 degrees; 4.00 feet low. Black bass are fair on jerkbaits and black/chartreuse hair jigs along break lines and ledges. Striped bass are fair trolling white striper jigs and vertically jigging Pirk Minnows and Spoiler Shads. White bass are fair jigging Pirk Minnows at mid lake in 40 feet. Crappie are fair on minnows and white tube jigs upriver. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are slow.

COLEMAN: Water stained; 69-73 degrees; 2.46 feet low. Black bass are fair on chartreuse spinnerbaits and crankbaits. Hybrid striper are fair on silver and chartreuse striper jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs. Channel catfish are good on stinkbait, shrimp, and cut bait. Yellow catfish are slow.

COLORADO RIVER: (At Colorado Bend State Park) No report available.

FAYETTE: Water murky. Black bass are good on chartreuse Rat-L-Traps, crankbaits, and soft plastics. Channel and blue catfish are fair on stinkbait and shad.

GRANBURY: Water stained; 70-74 degrees; 0.03 feet high. Black bass are good on watermelon spinnerbaits and soft plastics. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and white tube jigs. Catfish are good on live bait and stinkbait.

GRANGER: Water stained; 71-75 degrees; 0.54 feet high. Black bass are fair on soft plastics and jigs upriver. White bass are good on pet spoons and spinnerbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows upriver under lights at night. Blue catfish are fair on juglines baited with shad and cut bait. Yellow catfish are slow.

LBJ: Water stained; 72-76 degrees; 0.79 feet low. Black bass are fair on chartreuse Rat-L-Traps and plastic swimbaits. Striped bass are good on Spoiler Shads and Li’l Fishies at night. White bass are good on Li’l Fishies at night. Crappie are good on chartreuse/white tube jigs and live minnows over brush piles. Channel catfish are good on minnows and nightcrawlers. Yellow and blue catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live bait.

NAVARRO MILLS: Water stained; 67-71 degrees; 1.14 feet low. Black bass are fair on pumpkinseed Rat-L-Traps and crankbaits. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue/white jigs. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

PROCTOR: Water murky; 69-73 degrees; 2.12 feet low. Black bass are good on chartreuse crankbaits and spinnerbaits. Striped bass are good on white striper jigs. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on live shad. Yellow catfish are slow.

SOMERVILLE: Water murky; 70-74 degrees; 0.19 feet high. Black bass are fair on watermelon/chartreuse soft plastics and crankbaits. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and pink tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are fair on stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.

STILLHOUSE HOLLOW: Water murky; 69-73 degrees; 3.92 feet low. Black bass are good on green pumpkin crankbaits and soft plastics. White bass are fair on slabs and pet spoons. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are good on minnows and shrimp. Yellow catfish are slow.

TRAVIS: Water stained; 71-75 degrees; 12.67 feet low. Black bass are good on watermelon soft plastic worms and June bug flukes in 5-20 feet. Striped bass are fair on chartreuse striper jigs. White bass are good on white grubs and gold spoons in 30-45 feet. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and fresh cut bait. Yellow catfish are slow.

WALTER E. LONG: Water murky. Black bass are good on watermelon spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and soft plastics. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are fair on Li’l Fishies. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

WHITNEY: Water stained; 69-73 degrees; 2.89 feet low. Black bass are fair on jerkbaits and Carolina rigged chartreuse soft plastics. Striped bass are fair drifting live bait in 25-35 feet, and on silver striper jigs. White bass are fair on Pirk Minnows and slabs. Crappie are fair on minnows over brush piles. Catfish are slow.

NORTHEAST

ATHENS: Water lightly stained; 60-64 degrees; 0.33 feet high. Black bass are good on Texas rigged craws, swim jigs and spinnerbaits. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are good on trotlines and cut shad.

BENBROOK: Water stained; 59-63 degrees; 0.34 feet high. Black bass are fair on squarebill crankbaits, shakyhead worms and Texas rigged creature baits. Crappie are fair on jigs. White bass are good on slabs. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

BOB SANDLIN: Water stained to murky in the creeks; 61-65 degrees; 0.31 feet high. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged craws, lipless crankbaits and back/blue jigs. Crappie are good on minnows. White bass are good on minnows. Catfish are good on trotlines and prepared bait.

BONHAM: Water stained; 58-61 degrees; 0.03 feet low. Black bass are fair on small crankbaits around shoreline rocks and boat docks. Crappie are good on minnows in shallow cover. Catfish are good along creek channel with cut shad.

BRIDGEPORT: Water lightly stained to stained, 60-63 degrees: 0.72 feet low. Black bass are good on shallow crankbaits, small plastic swimbaits and Texas rigged creature baits. Crappie are good on minnows. White bass are good on slabs and minnows. Hybrid striper are good on slabs and minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

CADDO: Water stained to muddy; 62-65 degrees; 1.70 feet high. Black bass are good on Texas rigged creature baits, weightless Senkos, and bladed jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are good on trotlines.

CEDAR CREEK: Water lightly stained; 60-63 degrees; 0.02 feet high. Black bass are good on Texas rigged craws, shakyhead worms and swim jigs. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines. White bass are good on slabs. Hybrid striper are good on slabs.

COOPER: Water stained; 62-66 degrees; 1.35 feet high. Black bass are slow on bladed jigs, black buzzbaits and Texas rigged creature baits. Crappie are fair on minnows. Hybrid striper and white bass are good on slabs.

EAGLE MOUNTAIN: Water lightly stained; 60-63 degrees; 0.48 feet high. Black bass are fair on squarebill crankbaits, Texas rigged craws and shakyhead worms. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs on docks. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

FAIRFIELD: Water lightly stained. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits, black buzzbaits and Texas rigged creature baits along shoreline cover. No report on other species.

FORK: Water lightly stained to stained; 61-64 degrees; 0.25 feet low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged creature baits and craws as well as Carolina rigged worms. Some fish being caught on beds. White and yellow bass are fair on slabs. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines and cut shad.

GRAPEVINE: Water stained; 60-63 degrees; 1.38 feet high. Black bass are good on lipless crankbaits, Texas rigged craws and squarebill crankbaits. White bass and hybrid bass are good on minnows and slabs. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are good on trotlines.

JOE POOL: Water stained; 60-64 degrees; 0.19 feet high. Black bass are good on bladed jigs, lipless crankbaits and Texas rigged craws. White bass are fair on slabs. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines and prepared bait.

LAKE O’ THE PINES: Water stained to muddy; 62-65 degrees: 6.91 feet high. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged craws, shakyhead worms and bladed jigs. White bass are fair on slabs. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines and cut shad.

LAVON: Water stained; 61-64 degrees: 0.82 feet high. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged creature baits, lipless crankbaits and flipping jigs. White bass are good on slabs. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines and cut shad.

LEWISVILLE: Water lightly stained; 60-63 degrees; 0.43 feet high. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits, Texas rigged craws and bladed jigs. White bass are good on slabs and minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines and prepared bait.

MARTIN CREEK: Water stained; 75-82 degrees; 0.09 feet low. Black bass are fair on white Flukes, swimjigs and weightless Senkos. Crappie are good on minnows. White bass are good on minnows. Catfish are good on trotlines and prepared bait.

MONTICELLO: Water stained; 61-64 degrees; 2.36 feet low. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits, white buzzbaits and Texas rigged creature baits. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

PALESTINE: Water lightly stained; 60-64 degrees; 0.23 feet high. Black bass are good on Texas rigged craws, shakeyhead worms and spinnerbaits. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs Hybrid striper are good on slabs. White bass are good on slabs. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

RAY HUBBARD: Water lightly stained; 61-64 degrees; 0.16 feet high. Black bass are good on bladed jigs, shallow crankbaits and Texas rigged craws. Crappie are good on minnows. White bass are fair on slabs and minnows. Hybrid striper are good on slabs and minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

RAY ROBERTS: Water lightly stained: 60-63 degrees; 0.27 feet high. Black bass are fair on Carolina rigged worms, weightless Flukes and Texas rigged creature baits. White bass are good on minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines and cut shad.

RICHLAND CHAMBERS: Water lightly stained; 61-64 degrees; 0.61 feet low. Black bass are good on Texas rigged craws, weightless Senkos and swim jigs. White bass are good on slabs. Hybrid striper are good on slabs. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are good on trotlines.

TAWAKONI: Water stained; 61-65 degrees; 0.39 feet high. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged creature baits, flipping jigs and bladed jigs. White bass are good on slabs and minnows. Hybrid bass are good on slabs and minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

TEXOMA: Water lightly stained; 59-62 degrees; 0.47 feet high. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged craws, shallow crankbaits and shakyhead worms. Crappie are good on minnows. Striped bass are good on slabs. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

WEATHERFORD: Water lightly stained; 59-63 degrees; 0.03 feet low. Black bass are slow on spinnerbaits, swim jigs and Texas rigged craws. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

WRIGHT PATMAN: Water stained to muddy; 61-64 degrees; 25.06 feet high. Black bass are slow on Texas rigged creature baits, lipless crankbaits and bladed jigs. Crappie are slow on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines and prepared bait.

SOUTH

AMISTAD: Water murky; 72-76 degrees; 23.04 feet low. Black bass are good on pumpkinseed spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and soft plastic lizards. Striped bass are good on slabs, crankbaits, and Sassy Shad. White bass are good on slabs, crankbaits, and Sassy Shad. Catfish are good on live bait over baited holes. Yellow catfish are slow. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

BRAUNIG: Water murky. Black bass are good on crankbaits and dark soft plastic worms in the reeds. Striped bass are good on liver and shad. Redfish are slow. Channel catfish are slow. Blue catfish are good on cut bait in 15-20 feet.

CALAVERAS: Water murky. Black bass are good on dark soft plastic worms, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits in reed beds. Striped bass are good on spoons and jigs near the dam. Redfish are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on liver, shrimp, and cheesebait. Yellow catfish are slow.

CHOKE CANYON: Water stained; 71-75 degrees; 25.45 feet low. Black bass are good on pumpkinseed soft plastic worms and jigs over grass. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows. Drum are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on stinkbait and shrimp. Yellow catfish are fair on live perch.

COLETO CREEK: Water clear; 96 degrees at the hot water discharge, 74 degrees in main lake; 1.60 feet low. Black bass are fair on soft plastics and Rat-L-Traps in 6-12 feet. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

CORPUS CHRISTI LAKE: Water off color; 58-63 degrees; 1.18 feet low. Black bass are fair on jigs, shad pattern crankbaits and Texas rigs. White bass are fair on Rooster Tails. Crappie are fair on live minnows. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and live shad.

FALCON: Water murky; 73-77 degrees; 20.56 feet low. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on cut bait. Yellow catfish are slow. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

TEXANA: Water stained; 59-66 degrees; 3.34 feet low. Black bass are fair on jigs, Texas rigs and Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are fair on live minnows. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and cut bait.

SOUTHEAST

CONROE: Water stained; 69-73 degrees; 0.01 feet high. Black bass are fair on pumpkinseed soft plastics, crankbaits, and Rat-L-Traps. Striped bass are fair on silver striper jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs. Catfish are good on stinkbait, cut bait, and frozen shrimp.

GIBBONS CREEK: Water stained. Black bass are good on pumpkinseed soft plastics, spinnerbaits, and Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are fair on minnows and pink tube jigs. Catfish are good on live bait, cut bait, and stinkbait.

HOUSTON COUNTY: Water stained; 69-73 degrees; 0.17 feet high. Black bass to 11 pounds are fair on white or yellow crankbaits and swimbaits in 8+ feet. Crappie are very good on live minnows near the islands. Bream are good on live worms. Channel and blue catfish are good on juglines baited with perch. Yellow catfish are slow.

LIVINGSTON: Water stained; 70-74 degrees; 0.64 feet high. Black bass are good on soft plastics, crankbaits, and spinnerbaits. Striped bass are slow. White bass are good on soft plastics and spec rigs upriver. Crappie are good on minnows. Blue catfish are good on noodles. Yellow catfish are slow.

SAM RAYBURN: Water stained; 72-76 degrees; 0.50 feet high. Black bass are good on Carolina rigged watermelon red soft plastics, spinnerbaits, and Rat-L-Traps. White bass are fair on Li’l Fishies and silver spoons. Crappie are good on minnows and pink tube jigs. Bream are fair on worms. Catfish are good on frozen shrimp, live minnows, and stinkbait.

STEINHAGEN: 1.5 feet high. No report available.

TOLEDO BEND: Water stained; 71-75 degrees; 0.02 feet high. Black bass are fair on pumpkinseed spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and Rat-L-Traps. Striped bass are fair on chartreuse striper jigs. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and white tube jigs. Bream are slow. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

PANHANDLE

GREENBELT: Water off color; 56-64 degrees; 32.71 feet low. Black bass are slow to fair on Texas rigs, jigs and chrome Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are fair to good on live minnows. Catfish are fair to good on live and cut bait.

MACKENZIE: Water stained; 54-63 degrees; 74.7 feet low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs and Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs in the shallows. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and live baitfish.

MEREDITH: Water fairly clear; 54-62 degrees; 47.85 feet low. No reports on black bass. No reports of smallmouth bass or walleye. Bream and channel catfish are being caught in limited numbers.

WEST

ALAN HENRY: Water clear main lake, lightly stained up the river; 58 degrees main lake, 62 up the creeks; 6.57 feet low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged Power Worms, craws, wacky worms and crankbaits. Crappie and bass are fair on minnows. Catfish are fair on punch bait, live perch and live worms. Fishing should get really good the 29th or 30th through April.

ARROWHEAD: Water fairly clear; 56-64 degrees; 1.75 feet low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs and lipless crankbaits. Crappie are fair on live minnows. Catfish are fair to good on cut bait and nightcrawlers.

COLORADO CITY: 15.94 feet low. After a period of drought, this lake caught water and boating is now allowed. However, it is not currently recommended for fishing due to severe golden alga blooms.

FORT PHANTOM HILL: Water off color; 56-63 degrees; 2.23 feet low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs and chatterbaits. Crappie are fair on live minnows. Catfish are fair to good on live and cut bait.

HUBBARD CREEK: Water off color; 59-65 degrees; 3.26 feet low. Black bass are fair on Rat-L-Traps, Texas rigs and jigs. Crappie are fair on live minnows. Catfish are good on live and cut bait.

NASWORTHY: 58-64 degrees; 1.12 feet low. Black bass are slow to fair on Rat-L-Traps, Texas rigs and jigs. No reports on crappie. Catfish are fair to good on live bait.

OAK CREEK: Water stained; 58-63 degrees; 11.2 feet low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs, shallow running crankbaits and jigs. Crappie are slow on live minnows. Catfish are fair on live and cut bait.

O.H. IVIE: Water stained; 59-67 degrees; 38.67 feet low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs and crankbaits. Crappie are fair to good on live minnows. Catfish are fair to good on live bait.

POSSUM KINGDOM: Water off color; 59-63 degrees; 1.05 feet low. Black bass are fair on drop shot rigs, shakyheads and Texas rigs. Crappie are fair to good on live minnow. White bass are fair on slabs. Striped bass are fair on live shad. Catfish are good on live and cut bait.

SPENCE: 51.97 feet low. No report on black bass. No report on crappie. Catfish are fair to good on live bait and nightcrawlers.

STAMFORD: Water stained to muddy; 59-64 degrees; 1.04 feet low. Black bass are slow to fair on Texas rigs. Crappie are slow on live minnows. White bass are fair on live bait. Blue catfish are good on cut and live bait.

SWEETWATER: Water off color; 57-63 degrees; 24.74 feet low. This lake is currently experiencing a fish kill due to golden alga. Biologists are monitoring the situation and will post updates as they become available.

WHITE RIVER: Water stained; 56-62 degrees; 22.35 feet low. Black bass are slow to fair on Texas rigs and jigs. No reports on crappie. Catfish are fair to good on live bait.

COASTAL

NORTH SABINE: Trout, redfish and flounder are fair to good in the river on shad. Flounder are fair on jigs tipped with shrimp around marsh drains.

SOUTH SABINE: Trout and redfish are fair to good on Down South Lures in 2-5 feet of water. Sheepshead, redfish and black drum are good at the jetty on live shrimp. Flounder and redfish are good in the Bessie Heights marsh.

BOLIVAR: Trout are fair to good on the south shoreline on soft plastics and plugs. Black drum and redfish are good at Rollover Pass.

TRINITY BAY: Redfish and flounder are fair in the marsh on finger mullet. Most of the bay is dealing with freshwater from recent rains.

EAST GALVESTON BAY: Trout are fair to good on the south shoreline on topwaters, Down South Lures and MirrOlures. Whiting and sand trout are good on the edge of the Intracoastal on fresh shrimp. Black drum are fair to good in the Ship Channel on crabs.

WEST GALVESTON BAY: Trout are fair to good for drifters working shell on live shrimp. Sheepshead, redfish and black drum are good at the jetty on shrimp and crabs. Redfish and black drum are good in the back lakes on shrimp and Gulps.

FREEPORT: Sand trout and sheepshead are good on live shrimp on the reefs in Christmas Bay. Black drum and redfish are good at the jetties on cracked blue crabs.

EAST MATAGORDA BAY: Trout and redfish are fair for drifters in five feet of water on live shrimp and Gulps. Redfish are fair in Lake Austin and Boggy Lake on shrimp.

WEST MATAGORDA BAY: Redfish are fair to good in Oyster Lake on shrimp and crabs. Black drum and redfish are fair to good at the jetty on crabs. Redfish and black drum are fair to good at Shell Island on shrimp.

PORT O’CONNOR: Trout and redfish are fair on reefs in San Antonio Bay on live bait. Trout and redfish are fair for drifters working the back lakes with live shrimp.

ROCKPORT: Black drum are fair to good in Morris-Cummings Cut on free-lined shrimp. Black drum are good in the Lydia Ann Channel on crabs. Redfish are fair to good in Allyn’s Bight and Estes Flats.

PORT ARANSAS: Black drum are good in the Shrimpboat Channel on crabs and finger mullet. Redfish and sheepshead are fair to good at the jetty on shrimp.

CORPUS CHRISTI: Trout are fair to good on the edge of the spoils on Gulps and live shrimp. Black drum and redfish are fair to good in the Packery Channel on crabs.

BAFFIN BAY: Trout are fair to good around rocks and sand and grass on Gamblers, Down South Lures and Bass Assassins. Black drum are good in the Land Cut on crabs. PORT MANSFIELD: Trout are fair to good on topwaters around sand and grass along the shoreline. Redfish are fair to good while drifting pot holes on Gulps and live bait. Black drum and redfish are good on crabs at East Cut.

SOUTH PADRE: Trout are fair around the spoil islands, channel edges and color changes on DOA Shrimp. Black drum, redfish and jack crevalle are fair on live bait at the jetty. Flounder are fair to good on the spoils along the ICW on finger mullet.

PORT ISABEL: Trout and redfish are fair to good at Gas Well Flats on live shrimp. Redfish are fair on the flats South Bay on DOA Shrimp, Gulps and live shrimp. Trout are fair on the edge of the spoils on live bait.
