SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - West Valley City police are investigating a drive-by shooting that targeted a travelling rap group.
The Deseret News reports police say four members of the rap group were injured during the drive-by shooting on Tuesday night in a Walmart parking lot.
Police say a 14-year-old girl who was shot in the hip has been released from the hospital.
Three other men who were injured during the shooting remained hospitalized.
Police say the rap group’s RV had markings suggesting affiliation with a gang.
They say the occupants of a red Hyundai Sonata or similar style vehicle yelled potential rival gang-related slurs as they circled around the parking lot before firing multiple rounds.
