MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Wisconsin’s Supreme Court candidates continue to raise large sums as they wage big-spending campaigns ahead of next week’s election.

In the three-week period that ended last Monday, Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Rebecca Dallet took in more than $416,000 while Sauk County Circuit Judge Michael Screnock collected more than $340,000.

The candidates gave the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel some details of fundraising from Feb. 26 to March 19, but did not immediately release their full reports, which are due late Monday night.

Outside groups are spending heavily on the race. Screnock’s totals don’t include in-kind contributions. Other reports have shown he received extensive help from the Wisconsin GOP, including $44,000 worth over the weekend.

The election is April 3. The winner replaces Justice Michael Gableman, part of the court’s 5-2 conservative majority.
