Stormy Daniels said that in 2006, when she was having an affair with Donald Trump, the real-estate mogul dangled out the prospect of an appearance on “The Apprentice” if she would go to bed with him.

According to a “60 Minutes” interview that aired Sunday, the porn star whose real name is Stephanie Clifford said their affair, which Mr. Trump has consistently denied, took place while the future president was becoming a reality-TV star with “The Apprentice.”

“And he goes, ’Got an idea, honeybunch. Would you ever consider going on and— and being a contestant?’ And I laughed and said NBC’s never gonna let, you know, an adult film star be on,’” Ms. Clifford said in an on-air interview with Anderson Cooper.

Ms. Clifford said Mr. Trump brushed aside such objections.

“He goes, ’No, no’ … That’s why I want you. You’re gonna shock a lotta people, you’re smart and they won’t know what to expect,” he supposedly said.

Mr. Cooper asked whether she thought Mr. Trump “was serious, or did you think he was kind of dangling to get you to wanna be involved with him?”
