The Washington Redskins have reportedly pulled a contract offer to outside linebacker Junior Galette.

Galette, 29, is a free agent after spending the past three seasons in Washington. He missed the entire 2015 and 2016 seasons with foot injuries, but was healthy last season. Galette was productive in a limited role, recording three sacks as a rotational pass rusher.

NBC Sports Washington first reported the news, which comes shortly after reports the Cleveland Browns had expressed interest in Galette.

Galette had previously been open about his desire to return to Washington, though only if the money was right. Throughout last season, he openly campaigned for more playing time with a #free58 campaign on Twitter.

However, the linebacker remained grateful to Washington for sticking by him amid his injuries. Before his stint with the Redskins, he spent four seasons as a dominant pass rusher with the New Orleans Saints.

The Saints released him in July 2015, months after he was arrested for domestic violence. The charges were later dropped, and Galette served a two-game suspension for the incident.

If Galette were to join the Browns, he would reunite with former Redskins general manager Scot McCloughan, who now serves as an adviser in Cleveland.

The Los Angeles Rams have also shown an interest, ESPN reported.
