SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Utah weather forecasters say strong winds are expected to follow a heavy rain storm.
The Salt Lake Tribune reports a high wind warning was issued for most of the western third of Utah including the Salt Lake and Tooele Valley on Thursday morning.
According to the National Weather Service, gusts could reach speeds as high as 60 mph (97 kph).
Winds are expected to blow between 35 to 45 mph (56 to 72 kph).
The Weather Service says high profile vehicles and lightweight vehicles would be susceptible to the strong winds and warns that dust could affect visibility on the roads.
It says sustained winds of 40 mph (64 kph) and gust of 58 mph (93 kph) can lead to property damage.
