LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Gov. Pete Ricketts is asking for all U.S. and Nebraska flags to be flown at half-staff in memory of the late Nebraska Supreme Court Justice John Wright.
Flags are to be lowered from sunrise until sunset Thursday.
Wright died Sunday after a long, undisclosed illness. He was 72.
In his request to lower flags, Ricketts lauded Wright’s tenure on the state’s high court, saying Wright “courageously battled illness in recent years as he continued to serve.”
