ALIQUIPPA, Pa. (AP) - Aliquippa’s solicitor says state police seized several computers from the city government building as part of a grand jury investigation.

Solicitor Myron Sainovich said Friday the search warrant indicated the investigation pertains to possible theft.

He says troopers took two computers from the general pool area, one from the tax office and one from codes enforcement. The hard drives are being copied.

Only two pages of the warrant were available. The other six were sealed.

Sainovich says the warrant was signed by a senior judge supervising a grand jury sitting in Pittsburgh.

He says there were previous signs a grand jury has been investigating something in Beaver County, but the search on Friday was his first indication that Aliquippa was being looked at.
