President Trump slammed actor Alec Baldwin on Friday for his portrayal of the commander in chief on the comedy show “Saturday Night Live.”
“Alec Baldwin, whose dying mediocre career was saved by his terrible impersonation of me on SNL, now says playing me was agony. Alec, it was agony for those who were forced to watch. Bring back Darrell Hammond, funnier and a far greater talent!” Mr. Trump tweeted.
Mr. Baldwin made the comments in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter.
“Every time I do it now, it’s like agony,” Mr. Baldwin said of impersonating the president. He won an Emmy last year for the portrayal.
The actor also defended accused child molester and director Woody Allen in the same interview, earning him much criticism.
