Houston Texans owner Bob McNair was deposed Friday in the collusion case set forth by quarterback Colin Kaepernick against the NFL — and Kaepernick attended in person.
TMZ obtained a photo of Kaepernick and his attorney leaving the deposition, and Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports reported the quarterback could do this with every other witness if he chose to.
League source says #Texans owner Bob McNair was deposed today in Houston. And Colin Kaepernick was in the depo, face-to-face with McNair. So the mystery around that workout in Houston on Thursday is sort of revealed. He was in town to face off with McNair.

Kaepernick did not play in the NFL last season after opting out of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers. He filed a grievance alleging that several figures of power in the league conspired to keep him unsigned. In 2016 Kaepernick started the trend of players kneeling during the national anthem in protest of extrajudicial police violence against black men.
The Baltimore Ravens were reportedly interested in signing Kaepernick last summer when Joe Flacco began the season nursing an injury. But former Ravens star Ray Lewis said the team decided against it after Kaepernick’s girlfriend, Nessa Diab, sent a tweet comparing Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti to a plantation owner character in the film “Django Unchained.”
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft reportedly may also be deposed in the grievance case.
