The New York Jets retained free agent quarterback Josh McCown on a one-year contract worth $10 million. He spent the first few dollars of that deal at Chick-fil-A.

The 38-year-old quarterback tweeted a photo of him writing his electronic signature on his phone to sign his new contract:

McCown first signed with the Jets, his eighth NFL team, last offseason on a one-year deal. He threw for a decent 2,926 yards, 18 touchdowns and nine interceptions in 13 games before breaking his non-throwing hand in December and missing the rest of the season.

New York gave McCown a salary upgrade from the $6.5 million it paid him in 2017. The Jets paired McCown with Teddy Bridgewater, the former Minnesota Vikings QB who signed a one-year, $5 million deal with the Jets as he continues to make a comeback from a gruesome knee injury in 2016.
