PARSHALL, N.D. (AP) - The North Dakota Highway patrol says a 40-year-old New Town woman has died in a two-vehicle collision near Parshall.

Authorities say the woman was driving west on North Dakota Highway 23 on Saturday when she lost control of her Toyota Echo and spun into the eastbound lane. A Ford Ranger pickup was unable to avoid the car and struck it head-on.

The woman died at the scene. Her name has not been released. The 61-year-old man who was driving the pickup was injured and taken to a Minot hospital.
