BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Burlington police are investigating a downtown assault in which the victim suffered a serious head injury.
The Burlington Free Press reports the victim of the early Wednesday morning assault on Main Street is in serious condition, but he is expected to make a full recovery.
The assault was the second on Main Street in two days. Early Monday, a woman was shot and wounded after a suspect opened fire outside a bar. The victim in that case is recovering. The suspect in the shooting has been jailed on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Burlington police Lt. Mike Warren say police don’t have a description of a suspect in the Wednesday assault to share with the public.
