LOS ANGELES (AP) - There’s a new option for travel between Los Angeles and California’s North Coast.
United Airlines on Thursday launched nonstop service between Los Angeles International Airport and Humboldt County Airport.
The service offers one flight in each direction every day using a 50-seat CRJ regional jet.
The northbound flight departs LAX at 7:52 a.m. and arrives in Humboldt at 9:54 a.m.
The southbound flight departs Humboldt at 10:40 a.m. and arrives at LAX at 12:27 p.m.
The Redwood Region Economic Development Commission has been working on recruiting and retaining air service to the region since 2003.
