SEATTLE (AP) - Detectives say there were able to link a series of 2014 rapes that occurred in a Seattle neighborhood to each other using DNA evidence.
The Seattle Times reports police are looking for an unidentified man that they believe approached the women while they were walking on three early mornings between February and July.
Police said Wednesday that the man approached the women and offered them a ride in a black SUV where he later raped them.
The development in the cases comes after a push by state leaders to clear Washington’s backlog of thousands of rape kits that sat untouched by forensic analysis for years.
The suspect is described as a man in his late 20s or early 30s, under 6 feet tall (1.8 meters) with a thin to average body type and dark complexion.
