Actress Pamela Anderson defended her friend, Julian Assange, on Tucker Carlson’s show Tuesday night.
Ms. Anderson, known for her role in “Baywatch,” described the exiled WikiLeaks founder as “a great testament to the human spirit.” He currently remains at the Ecuadorean Embassy in London.
“His intention was not to get Trump elected, it was to give true information so people could make educated decisions about the person they wanted to vote for,” Ms. Anderson said.

Ms. Anderson speculated that Mr. Assange received no support from Hollywood elites because “they’re Clinton supporters.”
WikiLeaks unleashed a dump of hacked emails from Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta’s account, which impacted the 2016 presidential election.
“They have to blame somebody, so they blame him,” Ms. Anderson said.
