HAVERHILL, Mass. (AP) - Prosecutors in Massachusetts say they have video footage linking a suspect to a fatal shooting.

The Eagle-Tribune reports 27-year-old Eddy Almonte, of Haverhill, was arraigned Monday in Haverhill District Court on a murder charge in the shooting death of 20-year-old Nike Colon. Almonte was arrested in Virginia last month.

Essex County Assistant District Attorney Michael Dulany said during the arraignment investigators found surveillance video showing Almonte’s car stopping next to a pickup truck Colon was riding in and the shooting that followed. Dulany said a woman who was in Almonte’s car at the time of the shooting has also identified Almonte as the shooter.

Colon was shot and killed on May 17. An attorney for Almonte could not be immediately identified.

Almonte was ordered held without bail and will appear at a hearing in July.
