SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - A proposal for a giant warehouse near Spokane known only as Project Rose has many of the hallmarks of an Amazon fulfillment center.
The Spokesman-Review reports the building is proposed on nearly 80 acres near Spokane International Airport.
According to information filed with the state, the four-story building would be more than 2.5 million square feet and cost $181 million.
The parking lot would have 1,874 parking spaces, but a traffic analysis suggests four shifts over 24 hours would support 2,288 employees.
Seattle-based Amazon has not confirmed the project is a fulfillment center.
Dallas-based Trammell Crow has built several Amazon fulfillment centers. Environmental site assessments for Spokane’s Project Rose were prepared for the Trammel Crow Co., the newspaper reported.
