T.J. Oshie had described his previous Metro riding experience as “pretty simple,” but the Capitals winger had a minor hiccup on the way to Monday’s Game 4: his Metro card needed a refill.
And when you’re as famous as Oshie, that means being interrupted by fans.
Watch below as fans take pictures of Oshie and clamor for selfies:

Oshie also took the train to Capital One Arena for Saturday’s Game 3.
“The fans were, seemed very excited, but were also very respectful and kind of just wished us luck along the way,” Oshie said Sunday. “The closer we got, the more fans got on and it was cool. It was cool to see.”
Apparently, the Metro staff was nice enough to do Oshie a favor:
@russianmachine Oshie was on the Metro again (Gallery Place). Was short on his farecard. Didn’t have 35 cents. O
Happily, the Metro staff let him through. #ALLCAPS #StanleyCup pic.twitter.com/dMrQiEQXYI
