Donald Trump Jr. took to Twitter Monday morning to lampoon former President Bill Clinton for a “ballsy” performance on NBC’s “Today” show.

The commander in chief’s son seemed equally impressed and stunned this week at the moxie displayed by Mr. Clinton as he addressed his affair with Monica Lewinsky.

“Did Bill Clinton just #metoo Monica Lewinsky??? I (almost) have no words,” Mr. Trump Jr. tweeted nearly 3 million followers. “Props for always being ahead of the curve as the first male to publicly somehow claim victim-hood from his actions against women. Balsy! Stupid … but balsy [sic]!!!”

The 42nd president got into an awkward exchange with NBC’s Craig Melvin over his impeachment scandal and handling of it when seen through a #MeToo supporter’s eyes.

“I have never talked to [Ms. Lewinsky],” Mr. Clinton said. “But I did say publicly on more than one occasion that I was sorry.”

Mr. Clinton then appeared to use a former of rhetorical jiu-jitsu to cast himself as a victim.

“A lot of the facts [regarding the impeachment scandal] have been conveniently omitted to make the story work,” the former president said. “I think partly because they’re frustrated that they got all these serious allegations against the current occupant of the Oval Office and his voters don’t seem to care. I think I did the right thing. I defended the Constitution.”

Mr. Clinton added that he “left the White House $16 million in debt.”

“This was litigated 20 years ago. Two-thirds of the American people sided with me,” he said.
