BARNSTABLE, Mass. (AP) - Two men whose boat overturned in a Cape Cod harbor have been rescued and brought to a hospital to be treated for exposure.
The Cape Cod Times reports the men were trapped in cold water in Barnstable Harbor for about 20 minutes after their 16-foot boat overturned Sunday morning. The men were rescued by another boater as firefighters responded to the scene in their own vessel.
Paramedic Brian Tyson says the men had no physical injuries but were taken to a hospital because of how long they were in the water.
The men’s names haven’t been released.
Firefighters overturned the power boat and secured it. Officials were working to salvage the vessel.
