NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nevada (AP) - Authorities say an argument between two men in North Las Vegas escalated into an exchange of gunfire that left one man dead and another with injuries that are not life-threatening.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports police responded to a call around 12:20 a.m. Thursday of a shooting. When police and medical personnel arrived, a man was found dead.

A second man was later found and taken to University Medical Center.

No charges have been filed, as the altercation is under investigation.

The identity of the man who died will be released once his family has been notified.

This is the 14th homicide in North Las Vegas in 2018.
