President Trump announced on Monday he would campaign in South Carolina for incumbent Governor Henry McMaster.
The president tweeted his support for Mr. McMaster and said he would speak Monday evening.

Mr. Trump’s last hand-picked candidate, Katie Arrington, won her primary against incumbent Rep. Mark Sanford after the president weighed in on the race via Twitter hours before polls closed.
Mr. McMaster is in a runoff race for the GOP gubernatorial primary against challenger John Warren. Polls open in South Carolina on Tuesday.
