HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut police say a man showed up to a hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.
The Hartford Courant reports the shooting happened Monday morning outside an apartment building in Hartford.
The city’s ShotSpotter detection system alerted officers to the shooting, and police say 30-year-old Jashawn Hunter was struck in the arm and wrist.
Officials say the shooting happened at the same spot where another gunshot victim was found less than a month ago. That man is expected to survive.
Police say they will be putting officers in areas that have experienced increases in violence.
Police say Monday’s shooting was the 70th nonfatal shooting in Hartford this year.
