CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Police have accused an employee at a North Carolina fast-food restaurant of firing into a car whose passengers got into a fight with a co-worker.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police tell news outlets the fight started Friday morning after a co-worker took an order at the drive-through window to customers waiting in the parking lot of a Wendy’s on the city’s north side.

According to police, when a female employee brought out the order, an argument led to a fight between a customer and the employee. When a second customer started to get out of her car, the first worker fired a shotgun into the customer’s car. No one was hurt.

Police said 22-year-old Xavier McCree was charged with discharging a firearm within city limits. It’s not known if he has an attorney.
