LINCOLN, N.D. (AP) - The City of Lincoln says a drinking water issue has been resolved.

Residents had been advised on Wednesday to boil tap water before consumption after one home’s water supply twice tested positive for E. coli bacteria. Nearly 1,300 homes are affected by the boil advisory.

The city said Friday it is no longer necessary to boil water or use bottled water because the issue has been resolved and follow-up water samples are OK. The state Health Department tested water from nine locations in Lincoln, which is near Bismarck.
