Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger slammed politicians for the lack of comprehensive immigration reform Tuesday night.
Mr. Schwarzenegger posted a thread on Twitter calling for a fix to our “absurdly broken” immigration system, while denouncing the family separation policy.
The administration is right that we need to fix our immigration system. But if anybody is going to be in a cage while we wait for a comprehensive reform, let’s make it the politicians who don’t do their jobs in the cages, not innocent kids.

As an immigrant, I know the magnetic power of America’s greatness. As a former border Governor, I know the importance of securing our border and fixing our absurdly broken immigration system. As an American, I know that kids shouldn’t be pawns while the “adults” figure it out.

Both President Trump and members of Congress have laid the responsibility for ending the separation policy on each other. Sen. Ted Cruz, Texas Republican; Sen. Dianne Feinstein, California Democrat; and Rep. Mark Meadows, North Carolina Republican, have all proposed legislative fixes for the controversial policy that keeps children separate from parents who cross the border illegally.
