Through two games, we are no closer to a decision of which team Lord Stanley’s Cup will be awarded to.
The Washington Capitals took Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final 3-2 over the Vegas Golden Knights on Wednesday, thanks to three points by Lars Eller and a Braden Holtby paddle save that electrified the District and social media.
The Capitals evened the series 1-1, and the series heads to Washington for Game 3 with both teams three wins away from their ultimate goal.

What to watch for: Barry Trotz said center Evgeny Kuznetsov is a game-time decision. Kuznetsov left in the first period of Game 2 with an upper-body injury after he took a hard check from Brayden McNabb … Brooks Orpik’s goal in Game 2, which turned out to be the game-winner, snapped the longest active NHL goalless streak: 220 combined regular season and playoff games … Sting and Shaggy, the former Police frontman and the Jamaican rapper who are currently touring together, will perform a free pre-game concert on the steps of the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery across the street from the arena.
