OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma City Thunder will premiere a documentary on retiring forward Nick Collison to the public for free.
The Oklahoman reports that the NBA team will screen “Mr. Thunder” June 9 at the Myriad Gardens.
The film documents 37-year-old Collison’s final two weeks of his playing career. The forward played several seasons for the Seattle SuperSonics before the franchise relocated to Oklahoma City and rebranded as the Thunder. He announced his retirement from professional basketball last month
The Thunder says Collison is among five NBA players to have spent the past 15 or more seasons all with one franchise.
The documentary is one of 135 films that will screen at the 2018 deadCenter Film Festival in Oklahoma City.
