BOSTON (AP) - Biopharmaceutical industry leaders are demanding change after a corporate event featured topless dancers.

The Boston Globe reports the “Party At BIO Not Associated With BIO” drew the ire of attendees last week in Boston. The annual networking party, which takes place during the BIO International Convention, included topless female dancers with corporate logos painted on their bodies.

The event is not affiliated with the convention.

Momenta Pharmaceuticals Director of Strategy Kate Strayer-Benton wrote an open letter condemning the event. She drew on a previous letter by Karen Bernstein and Kate Bingham, two biotech leaders who had criticized a 2016 party at the JP Morgan Healthcare conference that included scantily clad models in waitress costumes.

BIO chairman and CEO John Maraganore said companies that sponsor the party in the future will be expelled.
