NEPHI, Utah (AP) - Authorities say a 7 1/2-foot (2.3-meter) boa constrictor has been found after spending about two hours on the loose in a residential area in Nephi.

The Deseret News reports the Juab County Sheriff’s Office says the snake was located around 8 p.m. Wednesday, a couple hours after the office issued a Facebook alert for residents to be on the lookout for a long snake with a red tail.

The office told residents to “please be cautious with small children and animals.”

No information about who the snake belongs to or how it got loose was immediately released.
