It was U.S. Marine Corps Day on Tuesday night at Nationals Park as Washington hosted the New York Mets in the first game of a three-opponent homestand.

The highlight of the pre-game events featured a flyover from the V-22 Ospreys from the VMM-263 Thunder Chickens, based in North Carolina.

Lt. General Robert Walsh, U.S. Marine Corps, was part of the lineup delivery and Major General John Ewers, U.S. Marine Corps, threw out the ceremonial first pitch.

The Color Guard was presented by the U.S. Marine Corps Color Guard, Marine Barracks in Washington.

The national anthem was presented by The President’s Own, United States Marine Band.

The game ball delivery was by Sgt. Major Troy Black, U.S. Marine Corps, and the cry of play ball came from Colonel Anthony Bolden, U.S. Marine Corps.
