Officials said Sunday night they arrested 33-year-old Sgt. Jeffrey Day of Centreville, Mississippi, after finding him with nearly 5 ounces (140 grams) of marijuana and nearly 4 grams of synthetic marijuana.

Prison officials said the drugs were hidden in a sandwich from a restaurant in Day’s vehicle in the prison grounds.

West Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies charged Day with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute synthetic marijuana, and malfeasance in office.
