Major League Baseball named Bryce Harper, Max Scherzer and Ryan Zimmerman as “MLB All-Star Ambassadors” for this year’s All-Star Week events in Washington, D.C.
The three Washington Nationals stars will appear in advertisements and participate in events throughout the week.
Scherzer and Zimmerman will attend FanFest at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The first 3,000 fans to enter FanFest on particular days will receive a bobblehead of Zimmerman (July 13), Harper (July 16) or Scherzer (July 17).
Zimmerman will sign autographs for fans at FanFest on the morning of July 17. MLB encourages fans to reduce the time they wait in line for autographs by signing up for a FanFest Experience Pass at AllStarGame.com.
Harper will be on hand with officials from MLB and the Nationals on July 16 to christen a youth baseball complex at Fred Crabtree Park in Fairfax County, Va.
A recent update from the league showed Harper in third place in voting among National League outfielders:
